| The portfolio
contains both commission pieces and pieces I have made for juried
shows and gallery events. Some are award winners while others
have been published in books and magazines.
I find inspiration for my work in many
things. Sometimes it can be as simple as the challenge of
learning a new technique like the complicated form of my Swirly
Pots. Other pieces fall into the category of what I like to
call “interactive sculpture.” These are both utilitarian
and whimsical and allow the owner to interact with these pieces.
My lighthouse tea and coffee pots and the bridge candelabra
fall into this category. I like to create pieces that will
give people pleasure on many levels.
