Commissions are both challenging and fulfilling. It is always a challenge to meet the expectations of clients. My personal approach is to involve the client as much as possible in the design phase. This includes the client in the creative process and gives him/her a real role in the creation of work that will ultimately be theirs. They also know exactly what they are getting which ensures no surprises once the piece is complete. I find it very fulfilling to meet the needs of the client to create a work that will live on in their home, club or place or business.
